How to Approve a Custom Hair Dryer Color Before Hotel Production

A five-step approval process for custom hotel hair dryer colors, covering references, materials, finishes, color samples, tolerances and bulk production.

A color code is only the starting point.

Housing material, surface finish, lighting, logo and accessories can all change how a custom color looks on the finished hair dryer.

For hotel projects, use this approval process before bulk production.

1. Start With the Clearest Reference

The customer can provide one or more of the following references.

Physical references are generally more reliable. Cameras, lighting and screens can display the same color differently, so photos and videos should be treated as communication tools unless both sides agree to use them for final approval.

Reference optionHow it should be used
Physical color sampleGenerally the most reliable reference for comparison.
Pantone or RAL referenceProvides a recognized starting point for color matching.
Specified market reference color or productHelps define an existing color direction in the target market.
Photos or videosUseful for communicating the intended direction, but affected by cameras, lighting and screens.

2. Confirm the Material and Finish

Review the color together with every visible part of the finished configuration.

Matching the main housing does not automatically mean the complete product will look consistent.

Item to confirmWhy it matters
Housing materialDifferent materials can display the same color differently.
Matte, glossy or textured finishSurface finish changes the perceived depth, brightness and texture of the color.
Logo colorThe logo must remain legible and visually consistent with the housing.
Buttons, cord, holder and other accessoriesAccessories should be reviewed as part of the complete product appearance.

3. Review a Color Sample First

Where practical, review a color plaque or housing sample before making a complete finished sample.

Up to three color-adjustment rounds can be provided without an additional color-sampling fee. Each round covers one revised color plaque or housing-color sample—not a complete finished product.

After the color direction is confirmed, the final product sample is charged separately.

4. Define the Approval Standard

Before production, record the complete approval standard so that the approved reference remains clear to both sides.

Changes requested after approval may affect sampling cost and the production schedule.

Approval pointWhat to record
Approved sampleIdentify the exact sample that has been accepted.
Final approval authorityRecord who is authorized to give final approval.
Approval scopeState whether approval covers color only or the complete product appearance.
Material and surface finishRecord the approved material and finish with the color.
Sample identification and retentionDefine how the approved sample will be labeled and retained.
Production color toleranceAgree on the acceptable variation for bulk production.

5. Use the Approved Sample for Bulk Production

Controlled color formulation, consistent materials, stable production parameters and batch inspection help improve consistency.

Minor variation may still occur between materials or production batches, so the agreed tolerance and approved sample should remain the production reference.

Custom housing colors start from 500 pcs on applicable models; existing standard colors are confirmed by model. The 200-piece minimum applies to overseas bulk orders, not to a logo-printing process. Logo cost and market-specific electrical configurations are confirmed for each order.

Reliable color customization is not simply matching a code. It is creating a controlled path from the customer’s reference to an approved sample and a consistent bulk-production result.
